The BC Salmon Farmers Association (“BCSFA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where applicable, Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

We collect only what we need to respond to you and operate our website and programs. Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number and message when you use our contact form, sign up for our newsletter, apply for membership, or register for an event. Information collected automatically: when you visit our website we may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and referring links through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to your inquiries; to send updates, newsletters and event information where you have consented; to process and administer membership; to operate and improve our website; and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
Email consent (CASL)
We send commercial electronic messages only with your consent, in accordance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw your consent at any time.
